Web Sea Drone Project
Tags: WebSvelteTypescriptEmbeded LinuxRealtimeFullstackGolangDockerCAD

Built an underwater drone and software architecture to allow students in landlocked parts of the country to explore the ocean remotely. The system leverages P2P WebRTC with a realtime server fallback for maximum quality and responsiveness while being easy to operate. The end user needs only a web browser with a touchscreen or game controller to operate it. The drone is capable of being deployed anywhere 4G coverage exists using only a smartphone or 4G antenna. Testing our 3rd design iteration based around the BlueROV 2 underwater drone from Blue Robotics has been put on hold due to fedral funding shortages, but we hope to continue improving soon.

EcoHus is a full-built home designed and constructed by a small team of UCSC students which competed in the Orange County Sustanability Decathalon. EcoHus won best in category for innovation, energy efficiency, and water use. EcoHus integrates a host of cutting edge techniques into a self contained off-grid system that minimises environmental impacts over the life of the building while saving costs durring construction and use.

A short form game and tech demo that puts you in the shoes of a food delivery worker. Set in a future city in a non-euclidian universe. You must deliver pizza to every customer in record time to keep your moral (and income) afloat. Completed in a 1 month sprint with a team of six as part of a university capstone course. We were challenged to develop a game that incorporates concepts infinity, and as such this is an infinite labrinth of a city with infinite hunger for pizza.

My role

Developed graphics & logic programming to get the non-euclidian city layout to feel and infinite horizions working in the Unity Game engine.

Turned the original WikiTrust algorithms into a functional MVP cross-browser extension in typescript and processing server backend in python. Our system can calculate a metric of accuracy or “consensus” for every word on Wikipedia using only the article’s revision history and author cross contributions. We hope WikiTrust will give readers & editors of Wikipedia better insight into the accuracy of statements and protect against content vandalism.

My Role

Frontend extension and page algorithms, backend API and cloud database abstraction layer.
